Here at Pride Expeditions, we come across many people with inspirational ambitions. We are always keen on making those ambitions a reality! Over the winter we have been out training people like Alex and Colin who aspire to ascend Mt Blanc and the Matterhorn in the Summer of 2018. They came to us with a can-do attitude but slightly lacking in the technical skills required to make their dream a reality. After a cold weekend out on the cliffs and ridges of North Wales, they are now a step closer to achieving their goal. It was a harsh weekend with plenty of chances to learn from the experience and ready themselves for the Alps this Summer. Good luck to them. #thisgaycan.

We have also been busy planning to get the first all gay group to the top of Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Glades route. With the right training, the right equipment, a positive mental attitude and lots of hard-work whatever your aspirations are you can make them a reality. This is what we strongly believe in but unfortunately, it is not always the case.

The LGBT community in Tanzania faces continual harassment for simply loving the person they love. We felt it important to visit Tanzania despite their poor LGBT rights record. Our in-country mountain guides and travel agents within Tanzania have signed up to our ethos of #loveislove and #equality. They have signed up to support our belief in equal rights and in return, we support them by giving them our business. There are many people within Tanzania who support LGBT rights and we aim to spread their message to a wider audience. #equalityinTanzania  

Our aim is to spread the message that being welcoming to Pride Expeditions and our mainly LGBT clients will generate business for the providers in the countries we visit. We believe in you and are supportive of your rights to travel Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro no matter what your sexual orientation, gender or identity. We will provide the training and the guidance to help to get you to the top.
