Our Story

A sense of adventure.jpg

Pride Expeditions offers overseas trekking and rafting expeditions and UK based hill and mountain walking skills courses, scrambling and rock climbing days and day walks. All these UK based activities are run from our home in the mountains of Snowdonia. Our guides are qualified and highly experienced mountain Practitioners.

Going on a Pride Expedition fosters an affinity between expedition members and the expedition crew. All our guides are non-discriminatory and support our ethos;

  • Queer Friendly - Our guides must be open and un-judgemental and welcome you to be yourself; not hide who you are

  • Supportive and Welcoming - Our guides are used to welcoming LGBTQ+ groups and teams and will support and encourage you to be yourself

  • Committed to equal rights - Although many of the countries we visit do not have equal rights for LGBTQ+ people; our local guides and agents are committed to treating you equally and supporting LGBTQ+ rights

  • Giving grassroots organisations a voice - We support local organisations around the World in empowering the rights of women and LGBTQ+ people such as Matriarch Hill Safaris

Going on a challenging expedition gives you a sense of self-worth, whilst simultaneously providing positive role models for pro-LGBTQ equality campaigners in the countries we visit. The benefits also include mental and physical well-being and building self-confidence. At Pride Expeditions we support the local communities in the areas we visit by using local guides and eating and sleeping in locally owned accommodation so long as the owners and workers subscribe to our ethos.
