Combining all the best part of a trip to Patagonia; this trip combines adventure , trekking and travel to view the best bits of the Southernmost region of South America. We will travel along Argentina’s famed RN-40 to the pinnacles of Fitz Roy and the other sights of Los Glaciers National Park. The trip starts in Buenos Aires and includes flights to El Calafate. We travel into Chile to trek the ‘W’ circuit in Torres del Paine and camp for 4 nights in the park to see these iconic peaks.

You can secure your place with a £350 deposit and pay the remainder by instalments. These can be spread out throughout the lead up to the trip. You can pay on a monthly basis if this suits you. The full amount is due 2 month before the start date.

A comprehensive kit list will be sent out once the trip is guaranteed to run. Expect to be bringing good walking kit and a sleeping bag.
All our food will be provided while trekking. You will only need to carry a small day bag containing basic essentials whilst you are trekking
2 nd Feb 2025
Arrival at Ezeiza international airport in Buenos Aires and overnight in Hotel. Check in opens at 1500.
3 rd Feb
Transfer to Aeroparque airport for our flights to El Calafate city. From the airport we will be transferred directly to El Chalten. This is 200km and will take approximately 4hrs. This an outdoors town and has ATM, bars, restaurants and outdoor shops.
4 th Feb
Today we may trek to Laguna Torre with views of Cerro Solo, Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy. We pass the floating icebergs that have broken off the calving front face of the Grande Glacier and end close to Cerro Torre itself. 7-8hrs trekking 20km/ high point 639m
5 th Feb
Today we may trek to Laguna de Los Tres a clear lake at the foot of Mount Chalten. This trek has some steep sections but is commonly done. Laguna de Los Tres is surrounded by striking granite towers and snow-capped mountains. It is one of the best views around. 9hrs trekking 22km/high point 1800m
6 th Feb
Return to El Calafate city with afternoon free to explore.
7 th Feb
Full day trip to the stunning Perito Moreno Glacier, the highlight of the Los Glaciers National Park. We will take a boat trip to witness the spectacular wall of ice over 60m high and 5km wide. This glacier is currently not retreating and you should have the chance to see huge chunks of ice calving off into the water.
8 th Feb - Camping
Transfer to Cerro Castillo; the border between Argentina and Chile crossing the spine of the Andes. We will then head to Torres del Paine; home to stunning mountains, glaciers and lakes. After lunch we will take a short trek to Los Condors viewpoint and then settle into our campsite.
9 th Feb – Camping
Today we may trek to French Valley where you will see the immense French Glacier up close. Return to campsite at Lake Pahoe. 9hrs trekking 24km 420m ascent.
10 th Feb – Camping
Today we may trek to Grey Glacier. This trek begins with a 30min cruise across lake Pahoe to Paine Grande. This trek takes in Grey Lake and the retreating face of Grey Glacier. Return to campsite at Lake Pahoe. 8hrs trekking.
11 th Feb – Camping
Today we trek to Base Las Torres, the foot of the three massive towers of Paine. This is the most popular trek in the area and crosses boulder strewn terrain to the base of the towers. Return to campsite at Lake Pahoe. 8hrs trekking 300m height gain.
12 th Feb
Return back to El Calafate city with and afternoon to relax and explore the sights. .
13 th Feb
Transfer to El Calafate airport for our flights back to Buenos Aires. Afternoon to explore the surrounds and have a meal out.
14 th Feb
Return home. You are welcome to spend extra days in Argentina if you wish.
Note: This itinerary could be changed according to flight schedules and climatic conditions. We will make the best of the weather and trek accordingly.
