Kilamanjaro via the Lomosho Glades - Join us!

We are going to Kilimanjaro but from the remoter Western side of the mountain...

The Lemosho Glades is a beautiful route that departs from the quieter Western side of the mountain. Due to its ascent profile and eight-day duration it offers plenty of opportunity to properly acclimatize. It has the highest summit success rate of all the routes on Kilimanjaro and get’s you off the well-trodden routes on the Southern side of the mountain. Its remote start gives you the best opportunity of spotting large African wildlife like buffalo, antelope and sometimes elephant.

We will hike across the spectacular Shira Plateau and pass the dramatic gorges that characterize the Western side of the mountain. This route offers unparalleled views across the mountain and to the plains beyond. It’s versatility and gradual ascent gives teams the greatest chance of a comfortable and successful ascent of the greatest mountain on the African continent.

During February the Serengeti wildebeest migration is in full swing. This is one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth and where iconic African plains images are often taken. During a short window in February most wildebeest calves are born on the plains of the Southern Serengeti and it’s an abundant time for the large carnivores!

After climbing Kilimanjaro we will spend a few days roaming the Serengeti looking for these beasts and also exploring the Ngorongoro crater.

Soon to be advertised with Pride Expeditions.
